Hinckley Road LPU Blog

Monday 3rd December, 2012

Much of the hard work done earlier in the year around crime prevention is paying off and it seems the burglars are moving further afield. We never stop though and we are still hunting them down with extra officers on duty this week in order to respond to your calls. Improve the odds of seeing a burglar go to prison by registering all your property with Immobilise.com and no doubt you are well into your Christmas shopping by now so don’t let anyone get their hands on your hard earned presents by leaving your house insecure.

If you do see something suspicious, call us on 101 or 999 if it’s happening now – that’s how we catch most of the bad guys!

You may have seen that we are running a campaign to make sure people, and children especially, are able to be seen during these gloomy days. If you drop in to Hinckley Road you can pick up a high visibility back pack for £5. D-locks for your pedal cycle are also available and for motorcyclists we have some high security items available at cost price. Better to be safe than sorry – go on, treat your bike for Christmas!

If you want to let Clive Loader, our new PCC, know what matters to you in your area then please go to the new-look Force website and look for the Have Your Say icon at the bottom of the home page. Your responses will held inform on the strategic priorities for the force.

Please take care over the coming weeks as the weather gets ‘Christmassy’ and spend 20 minutes this weekend to ensure your car is ready with de-icer, ice scraper etc and you replace that battery that you’ve been meaning to do all year…..

From myself and all my staff at Hinckley Road police station, have a great, safe Christmas.
